The Legend of the Star Stone
How North Sultan, the Sultan and the tables came to be

One night the nail at the center of the sky wept. A young man of the north found the fallen tear, a sage in Konstantiniyye carved it, and the khan of the underworld tried to steal it. From it came one hundred and six tiles, a deck of cards, sixty-four squares and a palace whose doors never close.
