This guide summarises the rules used in North Sultan: Sultan Blast. The game is a story-driven, single-player blast puzzle set in an Ottoman palace: you tap groups of touching treasures of the same colour to blast them and finish each level's goals within a limited number of moves. The rules are applied automatically and equally to everyone by the game's puzzle engine; levels are played on your device. Sultan Blast neither spends nor awards virtual chips; there are no ads, no lives or energy system, no random reward boxes, and the first version has no in-app purchases. Nothing of real money or monetary value can be won. The North Sultan account is for people aged 18 and over. North Sultan: Sultan Blast uses the same North Sultan account as North Sultan: 101 Okey, North Sultan: Batak, North Sultan: Satranç, North Sultan: Okey, North Sultan: Tavla, North Sultan: Pişti and North Sultan: Saray Topu; the other games' rules: How to Play, Batak Guide, Chess Guide, Okey Guide, Backgammon Guide, Pişti Guide, Saray Topu Guide. Turkish version: Sultan Blast Rehberi.
1. The board and the treasures
- The board is at most 9 columns × 11 rows and has a different shape in every level (palace shapes such as an arch, a dome, a gate or a diamond); cells outside the shape are empty.
- Treasures: Lale (tulip, red), Çini (tile, blue), Zümrüt (emerald, green), Hilal (crescent, gold), Menekşe (violet, purple) and Nar (pomegranate, orange). Early levels use four colours, later ones five or six. Every treasure has its own shape, so players who find colours hard to tell apart can still read the board.
2. Moves
- Tapping a group of two or more treasures of the same colour that touch horizontally or vertically blasts the whole group; this is a move. Tapping a treasure that stands alone is not a move.
- Everything above the blasted treasures falls down; treasures can slide diagonally around obstacles; new treasures drop in from the top of each column.
- If no move is possible, the treasures are shuffled for free; this does not count as a move.
3. Powers
| Group size | Power made | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 5–6 | Kılıç (sword) | clears its whole row or column; it picks the direction that does more for your open goals |
| 7–8 | Gülle (cannonball) | clears the 3×3 square around it |
| 9 or more | Tuğra (the Sultan's seal) | calls every treasure of its colour |
- The power appears on the cell you tapped. Tapping a power fires it and counts as a move. A power hit by a blast fires in a chain.
- Combined powers: tap a power that touches another power and they fire together: sword + sword a row and a column in a cross; cannonball + sword three rows and three columns; cannonball + cannonball a 5×5 square; seal + sword or seal + cannonball turns every treasure of a colour into that power and fires them; seal + seal clears the whole board.
4. Obstacles
| Obstacle | Rule |
|---|---|
| Moloz (rubble) | a stone block of 1–3 layers that never moves. A blast next to it or a power hitting it cracks one layer |
| Kara Buz (Black Ice) | ice of 1–2 layers under a cell. Blasting the treasure on it or a power hitting it melts one layer |
| Zincir (chain) | a chained treasure cannot be tapped and does not fall. A blast next to it or a power hitting it breaks the chain |
| Çini Vazo (Iznik vase) | falls; a blast next to it or a power hitting it breaks it |
| Yıldız Kırığı (star shard) | falls and cannot be destroyed; it is collected when it reaches the lowest cell of its column |
5. Goals, winning and losing
- Each level's goals (for example collecting a number of one colour, clearing all rubble or Black Ice, breaking the vases, bringing the star shards down) and its number of moves are shown before the level starts.
- Finish every goal before your moves run out and you win the level and receive a star; stars only show the restoration of the halls in the story and have no other value. Your remaining moves turn into swords and blast in celebration.
- If your moves run out you lose the level and can try again at once, as often as you like. There are no lives, no waiting times and no ads.
- A level's opening board is the same on every attempt; only the new treasures dropping in change. Hard levels are labelled "Zor" (hard) up front.
6. Levels and story
- Levels are grouped into chapters set in the halls of the palace (planned as 10 chapters and 100 levels). Every level opens and closes with a short story card; the characters who speak come from the studio's shared legend, The Legend of the Star Stone.
- New obstacles are introduced chapter by chapter; the level where an obstacle first appears is easy.
- Before release, each level's number of moves is tuned to a target difficulty by a computer-controlled player that plays the level hundreds of times. After release, levels may be rebalanced based on real players' attempts.
7. Progress and data
- Levels are played on your device and need no internet connection. Which levels you have finished is stored only on your device (
sultan.blast.*; see the Cookie & SDK Policy); deleting the app deletes this progress. - Your shared North Sultan account, profile and friends are the same as in the other North Sultan games: Privacy Policy.
8. Fair play
Sultan Blast is a puzzle game; there is no power sold for money, no random reward box, no lives or energy timer, and the story is never locked behind payment or waiting. If in-app purchases are added later, their contents will be fixed and shown up front, and they will be governed by the Purchase & VIP Terms. Cheat software and automated play tools are prohibited: Terms of Use.
