For children, in short
Everything you play in Meşkhane stays on your phone or tablet. We don't ask for your name, your voice or your photo. There are no ads, no strangers and no chat. You need a grown-up to buy something or change settings.
For parents
Meşkhane: Music for Children (the "App") is a music-education app for children aged 4–10 made by IS.TEAM LLC (the North Sultan studio; "we"). It is published in the App Store Kids category and under the Google Play Families policy. Meşkhane is a separate product from the North Sultan games for ages 13 and up; it does not use their account, chat or legal documents. This notice was written with Turkish KVKK (Law 6698), the EU GDPR, the US COPPA Rule (including the 2025 amendments) and store rules in mind.
Personal data we collect: none
The App does not ask for or collect a child's or parent's name, date of birth, email, phone number, photo, voice recording, location, device identifier or advertising identifier. There is no account, no sign-in and no North Sultan account. This version of the App does not use the microphone or the camera and does not ask for permission to. If a room that listens to a real instrument is added later, the sound will only be processed on the device in real time, never recorded and never sent; this notice will be updated before that happens.
Information that stays on the device
The child profile (only a nickname and the chosen animal buddy), lesson progress, stars, practice time, the practice report (Meşk Defteri) and settings are stored only on your device. Lessons and free play work without an internet connection. They may be included in your device's own backup (iCloud / Android backup); they are never sent to us. The "Delete everything" button in the Parents' Corner, or deleting the App, removes them completely.
Purchases
Payments are taken by the Apple App Store or Google Play; we never see your card or account details. To confirm that a purchase is valid, the App sends the store-signed, anonymous transaction record to our server (api.northsultan.com). The server stores only: a one-way hash of the transaction number (it cannot be reversed), the product, the platform (iOS/Android), the expiry date, refund/cancellation status and whether it was a test or live purchase. The record contains no identity, device information or IP address. As with any internet connection, the server sees your device's IP address while connected; it is used only briefly in memory to limit excessive requests, is never stored and is never combined with the purchase record. The store itself processes your purchase history under its own privacy policy. Refunds are requested through the store. Records are kept while the purchase is valid and for 2 years after it ends (refund and tax obligations), then deleted automatically.
Optional bug report
A parent may, from the Parents' Corner, send an optional written bug report. Only the typed text, the app version and the platform are sent; no IP address is stored. Reports are deleted after 12 months. Please don't include personal information.
Third parties, advertising and tracking
The App contains no third-party software development kits (SDKs) for advertising, analytics, tracking, attribution, crash reporting or social sign-in. It does not promote other North Sultan apps. Purchases are made only through Apple's and Google's own payment systems. The App only uses its own files and the purchase-validation and bug-report addresses on our own server. There are no push notifications from a server. If you open our website (northsultan.com) from the Parents' Corner, the site uses no cookies or analytics; our host Cloudflare processes only the technical access data needed to serve the page.
Parental gate
Purchases, restoring purchases, settings, external links (website, email, store) and the Parents' Corner are behind a parental gate (press and hold, then enter a number written in words as digits) that a pre-reader cannot pass.
Your rights
Because we collect no personal data, we hold no personal record to delete or correct. You can still contact us with any question or request under KVKK Art. 11, the GDPR or COPPA. For a question about a purchase record, the transaction number on your store receipt is enough.
Security
The only connection to our server is encrypted (HTTPS). No children's data exists on the server. We maintain a written information-security program and data-retention policy.
Changes
If we change this notice we will update the date above and announce material changes in the app update notes.
